Today ODNR released the following statement regarding lake level management at Grand Lake St. Marys:
Lake Level Management Update:
ODNR does not anticipate any further draw down of Grand Lake St. Marys prior to the 2017 boating season. However, we will continue to monitor the weather and manage lake levels accordingly to prevent potential flooding around the lake and downstream.
Recently the Grand Lake St. Marys Lake Level Management Committee was reconvened to consider potential amendments to the current lake level management plan that was previously presented to ODNR. That revised plan is being reviewed at this time and a decision on its potential implementation will be made by the end of the 2017 boating season.
