Freedom Days Picnic began the 4th of July weekend in 2004. Prior to this event no 4th of July activities were held in Celina, Ohio. A group of veterans decided to change this and founded Freedom Days Picnic with the help of the Celina American Legion, Eagles, Moose Lodge, and VFW. It was determined at the initiation this first weekend in July would provide family fun entertainment. With getting the community involved in this event it was also important to show respect and honor the Flag and Veterans who allow us to participate in such events. Each year thousands attend Freedom Days and enjoy great music, kid’s games, and many other activities providing three days of fun. Every year has been a growth and with this growth has provided the opportunity for Freedom Days to donate $40,000.00 back into the community. This number will continue to grow each year so plan on joining us over the July 4th weekend each year!
