Area children had a blast at 2011 installment of the annual Lake Improvement Association Kids Fishing Derby, held this Wednesday at Grand Lake St. Marys State Park.

SEE IF YOU MADE THE PHOTO GALLERY!

Great times were had by all as 165 kids came out for a fun day of fishing the GLSM waters and gobbled up 580 hot dogs, 35 bags of potato chips, 25 cases of water and pop, and more than 2,500 cookies!

The Lake Improvement Association appreciates the help of the 75 teachers and helpers, 55 LIA volunteers, and 15 State Park workers who help make this day so fun every year.  A special thanks goes to LIA Trustee Dave Meyer and his wife, Gayle, for organizing another successful event this year.
