A coalition of groups have sent a letter of intent to sue to the U.S. EPA. The coalition argues the EPA isn’t moving quickly enough to designate all of western Lake Erie as an “impaired” lake, and is in violation of the Clean Water Act.
The coalition includes The Alliance for the Great Lakes, the Lake Erie Charter Boat Association, the Lake Erie Foundation, the Michigan League of Conservation Voters, Michigan United Conservation Clubs, the National Wildlife Federation, and the Ohio Environmental Council.
