The Lake Improvement Association is in the process of purchasing a playground to be installed at Windy Point on Grand Lake St. Marys. The playground will be dedicated to the memory of Stan Wilker, an LIA trustee who was passionate about youth athletics and the improvement of Grand Lake St. Marys.
The playground is manufactured by GameTime and is being purchased through David Williams & Associates at a discounted price of approximately $13,000. It features two slides, a tunnel and monkey bars wrapped in a color scheme designed to complement the natural environment at Windy Point. The LIA will add adult swings, similar to the play area the group installed at Villa Nova.
Delivery of the playground is expected in early November; depending on the weather, it will be installed either late Fall 2018 or early Spring 2019.
