LIA Membership Meeting

Minutes:
Nick Rentz welcomed everyone to the members meeting and stood for the pledge of allegiance.
Nick Rentz spoke about the upcoming Summer Kickoff event to be held on June 23rd. Nick said the event features bands, food, kids activities and more. Nick announced this years’ 5K run will be a 5K Fun Run and be family friendly. Nick asked that members support the LIA by coming to LIA events.
Nick Rentz also talked about the debate which will be held next month. He said the three candidates for Keith Fabers seat will be present to debate and answer questions from the membership. He noted that questions will come directly from the membership and moderated by Kevin Sandler.
Dave Faler (ODNR) gave quick update about lake level over the past month. The gates were opened at the end of February then closed in early March. To date there are 11.3’ of rain with the gates closed.
Teresa Dirksen with Ag Solutions gave an update on projects she is working on. Tereasa said that results will be coming soon. She has submitted several grant applications she is anxious to hear back on as well. Teresa hopes to update the membership further in May.
The Members Meeting concluded and the LIA Debate for the 84th District Seat commenced.
