LIA Executive Board Meeting

Minutes:

Tim Lovett welcomed everyone to the members meeting and stood for the pledge of allegiance.

Ted Bertke gave the treasurers report.

Mark Piening spoke about the 2017 Bar Stool Open. Mark said the lake is full and the weather is going to be good. Mark said there are 113 teams signed up already. He and Tom Rampe talked about the event and asked for folks to help judge the event.

Mark Piening spoke about the the 2017 Kids Fishing Derby. Mark asked for folks to make cookies and other treats for the event. Mark said there would be more information next month.

Stan Wilker spoke about the Ride for Life. Stan said while the event is not affiliated with The LIA however the Ride for Life is a great fund raiser for a great cause. Stan said there are tickets being sold for a 2016 Harley Davidson first prize and $1000 second place prize. Stan said the event culminates at the Celina Eagles.

Tom Knapke was present to talk about the LRC goings on. Tom noted on many of the tests planned for the lake.

David Faler gave the Lake Update. David thanked the LIA and Rec Club for the things they have donated to the lake and ODNR. He thanked the LRC Great Grand Lake Visitors Bureau for their services. David also gave updates to several projects going on around the park.

Tom Grabow updated the membership on his dredging efforts. He answered a couple questions from members about stumps and dredging goals.

Tereasa Dirkesn was present to speak about her efforts.

Dr. Stephen Jackson from Wright State presented on water quality changes in GLSM. His presentation can be found on the LIA website.

Tim Lovett opened the floor for questions.

Jeff Vossler drew the winner of the 50/50.
