The state is refunding dock fees (see announcement below to see how to get your refund), and you can help save Grand Lake St. Marys by donating your refunded dock fees to the Lake Improvement Association or the Lake Restoration Commission.

DOCK FEE REFUND ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear Dock Holder:
Due to the impact that the algae bloom has on customers of Grand Lake St. Marys as well as the economic impact to our community, the Ohio Department Of Natural Resources has determined that all state and private dock holders will be issued a full refund for dock year 2010 for payments that were made directly to the park. Please know that this refund does not impact any future years. Payments that were made by credit card will be refunded to the card of original payment. Payments that were originally made by cash or check will be refunded by check. Both forms of refunds should be completed within the next 30 days. After 30 days if you have not received your refund then contact the park office at 1-419-394-3611.
Further, in an effort to bring tourism back to our community, the state has decided to offer a 50% discount on camping and shelterhouse rentals at Grand Lake St. Marys State Park through December 31, 2010. You can receive the discount when you make a reservation via the call center (1-866-644-6727), go online at (www.ohiostateparks.org) or at Grand Lake St. Marys campground. When making your reservation please select the discount Grand Lake Special. Refunds for existing reservations will be made at the time of check-in.
