From The Evening Leader:
A day after Gov. Ted Strickland unveiled an action plan for Grand Lake St. Marys, House Minority Leader John Boehner met with area residents regarding the lake. Boehner, R-West Chester, met with local officials, business owners and residents Saturday afternoon at an event hosted by State Sen. Keith Faber at his Celina law office. Boehner attended the meeting to gather input regarding residents’ concerns about the lake and steps the federal government can take to help.
“Clearly there’s a very unfortunate situation here,” Boehner said. “I came up today to listen to all the various interests in terms of what’s the short-term solution and what’s the longer term solution. Clearly there are a lot of ideas but it’s also obvious to me that there needs to be a comprehensive plan dealing with the long-term problems with the lake.”
