How do we sign up?
At your favorite participating lake bar: Celina Moose, Shingle Shack, It’s It, Buoy’s Bar & Grill, Behm’s, Celina Eagles, Bayview Pub, South Shore Sportsman’s Club, Rustic Haven, Boardwalk Grill, Duckfoot’s, and Shoreline Grill.
Where do we start?
On the morning of the event, pick up your scorecards at the bar where you signed up. Then, you can start from any bar.
What time does the Bar Stool Open start and end?
Tee time is 9:00 a.m., last team in is at 6:00 p.m.
Do we need our own putters and golf balls?
Yes, please bring your own putters and golf balls.
Are there official rules?
Yes, please see them HERE.
Where do we get a scorecard?
At the bar you signed up at, the morning of the event.
Do we need a boat to participate?
No, only to enter the pontoon decorating contest. Come by land or by sea!
Do we need to do the bars in order?
No. Start from your selected bar, then do them in any order you’d like.
Do we need to go to all the bars?
Yes, if you want your score to be counted for prizes.
How do we win?
Turn in your scores at the last bar you visit; if you have one of the top 3 lowest scores, you win!
Pontoon decorating and T-shirt contests will be judged at the Celina Eagles.
Winners for mini-golf, pontoon decorating and T-shirt contests will be announced at the prize party (2pm Sunday, August 14 at the Celina Eagles).
Photo contest winners will be announced on Facebook.
What is the pontoon contest?

Your team can create matching or coordinating T-shirts for a chance to win cash prizes. Spark inspiration by checking out past event photo galleries.
Where, when, and how are the pontoon and T-shirt contests judged?
During the Bar Stool Open at Celina Eagles. Let the judges know you’re there.
Can we bribe the judges?
Bribing the judges used to be part of the Bar Stool Open, but not anymore. While you can still give the judges treats, they will not factor into scoring in any way.
What is the photo contest?
Post photos during the event on the LIA Facebook page and tag with #BSO2023 for a chance to win a $50 cash prize.
When are winners announced?
At the Bar Stool Open after-party, starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 14 at Celina Eagles.
Is there a rain date?
No, the Bar Stool Open will be held rain or shine.
Can I score a free coolie cup?
Of course! Just show the judges at Celina Eagles that you have downloaded the Grand Lake St. Marys app to your phone and they’ll be happy to give you a free coolie cup! While supplies last, of course.
