The Lake Improvement Association will hold its annual fishing derby for developmentally disabled children on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023. It’s a special day for the kids and volunteering is a rewarding experience you won’t forget.

We’re seeking volunteers to make cookies and other baked goods (no peanuts, please), help serve and help the kids bait their hooks.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please arrive at the First Shelter House on the East Bank by 8 a.m. on Sept. 13.

8am: Set up

9:15am: Help with food

10:30am: Kids arrive – help with baiting hooks and removing fish
