Board Members Present: President Tim Lovett, Vice President Mark Piening, Sgt of Arms Dave Eyink Secretary Eric Morris Trustees: Seth Brigham, Brian Morris, Brian Morris and Stan Wilker. Absent were: Treasurer Ted Bertke, Trustees: Tom Rampe, and due to prior obligations.
Tim Lovett welcomed everyone and led the pledge of allegiance.
Ted Bertke gave the treasurers report:

Stan Wilker spoke about the Luau on the Lake event that was held on February 15th 2014. Stan said that there were two people he would like to thank the first being Tim Rosengarten of Armcorp who helped out a lot with the sound and band and the second person being the 50-50 winner Ben Bonvillain who donated back $300.00 of his winnings. Stan said that he will have a detailed report at the next meeting.
Dave Eyink and Tim Lovett offered a report on the 2014 Membership Renewal for 2014. Dave said that he is looking for new ways to get more people involved with the LIA. He also asked members to go out and find new members. Dave said that there will still be a mass mailing coming to remind people to renew. Tim Lovett said that currently there are around 1200 members and that his goal is to get that number up around 1600 people this year.
Linda May of Linda May realty was a guest at the meeting. Linda reported on real estate sales in the area. She said that new home sales are up and other home sales are around the same but are gradually increasing a little every year. Linda noted on “Lake Sales” which are houses sold close to the lake. She said that the numbers are a little down however she is optimistic for 2014. Linda said that interest rates are still low as well as appraisals. Linda sad that houses selling between 75k and 150k are selling well. She believes that with the lakes condition and reputation getting better the real estate market will improve.
Milt Miller with the LRC Milt talked about the Chamber of Commerce from the Golden Triangle. He said that they awarded Jack Buschur Business Man of the Year. Milt said that Jack has been an excellent contributor to the LRC and the Lake. Milt also talked about several new areas around the lake that the LRC is looking at possibly purchasing over the next 3 years to improve.
Brian Miller Gave the lake report. He said that the the biggest topic is lake level. Milt said that as of Feb 12 the lake is down 8 inches but since then it is about an inch above due to the snow melting. Milt said that due to the lake being above he opened the gates and since then the level is around 2 inches below. Brian also mentioned that the ice on the lake will cause some dock damage and warned people to be careful due to the warmer temperatures. Brian also mentioned that the state park is offering the same discounts on camping as last year. Brian also talked about the Grand Lake Marathon that will be held on September 27th. He said that due to the event there will be some road closings that day due to the runners. He also spoke for Tom Grabo. Brian said that the new dredge is here and will be running when the weather breaks.
Terry Mescher with the SWCD Terry said that he sent some things to the papers this week about the manure application rules. He said that he hasn’t had any violations recently In the grand lake watershed area. He finished his report by telling people to contact his office if they see any violations or have any questions.
Tim Lovett Opened the floor for Q/A. Milt Miller wanted to thank Joe Locktefeld, whose company has secured over a mile of linear aeration equating to 200 acres being aerated.
Tim Lovett drew the 50/50. Donated $20.00 back
