The Lake Improvement Association executive board named Mark Piening Guardian of the Lake at its November 2015 member meeting. The Guardian of the Lake Award is annually presented to an individual who has taken extraordinary action to improve Grand Lake St. Marys.
"Mark has been a leader within the LIA and a strong supporter for the LRC," said LIA President Tim Lovett. "He has consistently demonstrated the qualities that this award is designed to recognize. My congratulations on receiving this award and a heartfelt thanks for all he does to make the lake and area a better place to live and enjoy."
